What we collect

  • Account: your email address and name (from Google OAuth or magic link login).
  • Contracts: the PDF files you upload and the structured data extracted from them (dates, party names, contract value, clauses).
  • Usage: basic product events (contract uploaded, alert sent) to understand how the product is used. No third-party analytics.

Where it lives

All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL + object storage) hosted on AWS in the US. PDFs are stored with AES-256 encryption at rest. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS. Every database table has row-level security — you can only access your own data.

AI processing

When you upload a contract, the extracted text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to parse dates, clauses, and terms. Anthropic does not train its models on data submitted via the API. We do not send your contracts to any other AI provider. The raw PDF text is used for extraction only — it is not stored beyond what is needed to show you the review screen.

Who can see your data

Your contracts are private to your account. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or provide it to third parties except:

  • Anthropic (Claude API) — contract text for extraction only, not retained for training.
  • Resend — your email address, to deliver alerts.
  • Stripe — handles payment processing. We never see your card details.

Renewl staff can access data only to diagnose support issues, and only when you ask us to.

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays in your account until you delete it or close your account. To delete your account and all associated data, email hello@getrenewl.com. We will confirm deletion within 5 business days.

Security

HTTPS everywhere. AES-256 at rest. Row-level security on all tables. Dependency updates tracked regularly. We do not have SOC 2 certification. If this is a hard requirement for your organization, email us before signing up.

Cookies

We use one session cookie for authentication. No tracking cookies, no ad pixels.
